Theoretical nonlinear dynamics, chaos and atmospheric predictability, stratocumulus dynamics, synthetic aperture radar interpretation, single-station lightning location. 

Teaching Interests

Atmospheric dynamics and synoptics, atmospheric waves and instabilities, energetics, applications of nonlinear mathematics, applications of computers.
